Adopt-a-Treatment – longterm guarantee of medication supply

After incorporation of our association the first assistance to the hospital was the order and delivery of desperately needed medication and medical supplies. These items are at times very hard to get by in Malawi and/or they are overpriced and without liquid funds the hospital could not purchase these in adequate quantities.

As a result of our assessment of this situation in 2011, we decided to assist financially in this field on a regular basis.

Funding of project

Every quarter we provide funds in the region of € 8'000. Medicines and medical supply materials are usually purchased locally, brought to Phalombe with interns or visitors or, in an emergency, ordered and shipped in South Africa or even Europe.
